				      <link>http://calendar.hcnews.com/events/index.php&#63;com=detail&amp;eID=4084</link>
<description>The Lake Granbury Art Association (LGAA) is a 40 year-old non-profit art organization dedicated to promoting the education, appreciation, and enjoyment of fine art in the Granbury Community. Our local artists sponsor art workshops and exhibitions for both adults and youth in the community. The LGAA is pleased to announce the opening of our 8th Annual Photography Show. The show runs June 29th through July 28th at the historic Shanley House Center, located at 224 N. Travis just off the Granbury Square. The Shanley House is open free to visitors Fridays&#38;Saturdays 10-5 and Sundays 1-4.
The Annual Photography Show is one of 3 major exhibitions conducted by the LGAA and features area photographers and their work. Last year’s show exhibited a total of 80 photographs from 43 photographers representing Granbury and 19 area cities. The turnout this year should be equally impressive. As in years past, the “open category” format allows entrants to submit their best pieces for the competition regardless of theme. The show will feature a wide variety of subjects including portraits, landscapes, architecture, and wildlife. There is something for everyone to enjoy and most artwork will be for sale.
This year’s judge for the photography competition is award-winning photographers Les Lopez and Cecilia Lopez. The award winners chosen by Mr. and Mrs. Lopez will be announced at the reception being held on June 30th at 7pm.
For more information, please visit the LGAA website (www.granburyart.org) and click on Events or call the Shanley House during business hours (817)579-7656.</description>

				      <link>http://calendar.hcnews.com/events/index.php&#63;com=detail&amp;eID=4096</link>
